Bring your Valentine this Valentines Day to Fort Abraham Lincoln State Park, we have the perfect way to spend some quality time with that special someone or the whole family. Join us for the annual “Sweetheart Hike” on Sunday, Feb. 13th beginning at 1 p.m. The guided hike will be about 2 miles over the hills and through the snow, so wear that winter gear and bring a sled to pull the little ones.
The “Sweetheart Hike” will start and conclude at the park’s Commissary Store.

Bismarck Snow Hike
After the hike visit the Commissary Store for shopping and ordering warms drinks including our signature Ciders and Hot Chocolates or try any of our special delicious espresso beverages.
The Sweetheart Hike will qualify you for the February Hike in the North Dakota State Parks 12 Months – 12 Hikes Challenge. The February hiking period begins on Feb 14th to 28th.
Hikers are reminded to dress appropriately for the weather. The hike is roughly two miles, moderately strenuous. Trail will not be stroller friendly.
In 2022 make it a point to explore the North Dakota outdoors. It’s always great outdoor fun in North Dakota State Parks.
Event is FREE with a ND State Parks Annual Pass, or $7 vehicle registration at the entrance to the park. Don’t have a ND State Parks Annual Pass, you can make that purchase at the Commissary Store or online at www.parkrec.nd.gov

Always make sure you are following the CDC guidelines and please maintain recommended social distances from others during the hike and while gathering at the park. Anyone experiencing any COVID symptoms are asked to not attend the hike. Masks are recommended while around others and in the Commissary Store. The Commissary Store is limited to 20 people at this time. All drinks will be made to go. At this time no indoor seating will be allowed in the Commissary Store.
