You might be wondering what to buy now that Costco is here or if it’s really that awesome. Ok, it is that awesome and here are the top reasons.
Food Court- While the food court at Sam’s is good, Costco is even better. Cheap and tasty hotdogs and pizza and soft serve ice cream makes for a cheap family meal out. It’s easy to feed a large family for less than $20.
Baking Essentials– My top buys at Costco are the baking essentials. This is the place for the best deals on spices, vanilla extract, flour, sugars and chocolate chips. During the holidays we go through tons of those bags of chocolate chips when I make my famous 5 ingredient Fool Proof Fudge. This is where you will find the best deals on olive oil and maple syrup too.
Bakery– The difference with the Costco bakery is that everything there tastes even better than it looks. The key lime pie and the cheesecake are amazing and cheap! You might have heard about the sheet cakes they have that people serve as wedding cakes. It’s true! You can get a cheesecake filled white cake that tastes like a fancy bakery cake.
Grab and Go– There is more to their grab and go than rotisserie chicken and the chicken is really good. You can find lots of salads, dips and fun ready to eat meals.
Organic, gluten-free and other special foods– If you are on a special diet or crave organic foods, the selection here is wide.
Be prepared to break down large packages into smaller bags and store. We freeze everything from bakery goods to shredded cheese in small bags for later.
